Like any other type of job, this fun work also require few strict conditions. You can not just march in and shoot them all like in Counter Strike. Like it or not, this is a multimillion dollar industry, and there is a lot of money involved in this. However, you do not need to worry. Basically, there are three biggest stages that you'll need to complete.
First stage is the age requirements. There are tons of skilled hand gamers out there and most of them are very young. That's why age is really a big deal in this kind of work. You see, the games companies can not, take on anyone under 18 as their staffs. They still have to follow some rules. It's the labor laws that are very tight about the age of employees.
If you are 18 or older, you can easily pass this stage. Now let's talk about the second condition. It's the education background. Even though you're such a killer player and master all games titles in the market, this industry will need someone who can pull out some high level analyze works. This will require some serious analytical writing tasks, so you're going to need a writing skill on this.
You'll be the good companies if you can not analyze their bugs, glitches and other problems with their games. However, there are a few types of jobs in this line that you can choose. But they are also need education requirements. You ca apply for video game designer job. For this line of work, they're going to need someone with high grades on programming and design levels. And the only place where you can get these certification is in college!
Now the third stage! Let's review what you've got so far. You're over 18 and well educated in those entire games course, but there is one thing that still not complete. What's that? It's your working experiences. High level gamer with educational game background is awesome, but it will be totally a killer if you got some proof of your previous works.
This industry will only hire proof experience gamers to do their jobs. If you've lack of credentials, you can always start out as freelance game tester or try the smaller companies. This is necessary to build up your resume.
